2020 Sony World Photography Awards - 2nd Place, Sport, Professional Competition
Lucas Barioulet is a French freelance photojournalist based in Paris. From 2016 to 2017, he worked in southern California and Mexico on immigration and US policy. In March 2018, he began working as a stringer photographer for the world news agency Agence France Presse. With his photographs, he questions the relation between sports and rights in society. In 2019, through differents trips, he focused his work on documenting the unknown and misundertsood country of Mauritania.
